Dan (Renton) gave me the original figure after a run and after the following run I was told that I hadn't done the 200 but didn't ask what it was, I have just read through all the figures while repling to Rods homo comment on Yums resto thread.

Btw your wheels will be with me in about 2 hours Will post some pics.

I remember them saying when they took the macca f1 up to topspeed that they could have dialed out any toe in/out at the front to reduce friction. Couple of basics like that would more than likely get you your 1mph. I don't know how they would effect the graph and tbh I really like the fact people are able to forecast speeds based on bhp and acceleration curves however every little bit helps. Have you had any thoughts about when you would like to go back and try again?

I often think a cold morning is best as the air temps are idle, however, I think that a warmer day has thinner air (could be utter tosh, im trying to think of logic behind that statement) and that means higher air temps but lower resistance againsnt the body work.

Hmm...

1mph to go!

good luck

RW

where are the comments?

as for the 0.2 mph extra, it all counts i mean, it could have been you were doing 199.9 mph and then 200.1 mph, it would have meant a lot then

still can't believe it's used as a daily drive to potter about to and from work in

You bugger got to change my Topspeed chart now. Congrats anyway.

You lot asked for this they are correct by the way.

To get from 198.7 to 200 requires 1.96% more Power so thats 13.15bhp on 670
To get from 198.9 to 200 requires 1.66% more Power so thats 11.11bhp on 670
so Martin just gained himself 2.04bhp in his quest for 200mph meaning less boost is required.

To be fair to Rod, i know of no other pensioner (almost ) that drives a cosworth over 200mph, and takes all the abuse he gets on here. Lots of people throw their toys out a long time before Rod even thinks about for much less abuse than he puts up with.

I agree, I see Rod as a more of an entertainer on PF. In fact... who's ever seen him and the legendary all round entertainer Mickey Rooney in the same place at the same time...?
