Fitted a new battery to the Mongayo and then when re-connect battery it asks for the security code.

So put the security code in thats in the service book and it dont work

So try a couple more times jus to be sure, nope

Then jus randomly been putting codes in for no reason, no luck and now it was done 10 times its totaly locked, lol.

How do i get it unlocked? Is it just a "Take it to Ford" job, or is there a cheaper/quicker way to do it?

What do Ford charge n how long it take em?

If you put the ignition on 1 click and leave it for half hour it will come back so u can put the code in I done this many times when i had my first car lucky my dad worked for ford as i always forgot my pin

He can get the pin i think still he got mine, you just need the security no of the stereo im sure can't remember and he can get it for you if you get stuck. If you ring ford they can to but charge a tenner i think

Nah, you can do that wait 30mins thing 10 times, after that its totaly locked, didnt know that and its been done 10 times now, totaly locked

Like i said, i got the security code that Ford put in the book, but it doesnt work

If you go to the dealer with proof of ownership of the vehicle they will find out the code for you, assuming it is still the original stereo.

They will charge you for the privalige though

when i enquired about this i think they said they wanted 30 odd quid - i soon told em to fook off and that the stereo is only worth a fookin fiver at the most

if you can take the stereo out and give me the part number and serial number i will get you the code i will send it by pm, before 3:45 if poss if not i will have the code for you in the morning

Oh fook steve i thought u ment you put the code in wrong ten times!! Not actually done the ignition thing ten times and i thought i was bad

My dad can get the code for nothing but if its locked completly who knows If he decides to ans his mob i'll ask him lol But in the mean time wheres gadget he works for ford maybe PM him

the big face stereos don't get locked out only the small ones dogadget works down the hill at fords at dunton i work uo the hill at visteon, but we make the ford radios

as said above give me the M number on top of the radio and I can get you the code, any time doesn't matter if it's after 3

This is the big Double DIN CD headunit fucker.

What happens is you get 3 times to enter it then every time after that the ign has to be on for 30mins after every wrong try, UNTIL you done it 10 times and it locked and wont let you enter any code.

Its at that stage now, wont let you enter a code, it just says LOCKED
