well 2 questions here, what are the differences between the two? and also can you put a blacktop engine in a cr with a silvertop in it, and vice verca?

Differences IIRC are main bearing size. 2.0L black tops have oil squirters also, and the water pump is revised between old/new zetecs. Also in standard applications black tops tend to be OBD2 i.e. have pre and post cat lambda sensors, although this only matters if taking ECU but not exhaust across.....
