thought it wouldve been cheaper and easier to make a new escort than repair the old one just about everything was creased including the roof

Can anyone guarantee that the 4x4 Gartracs had the custom inner wings ?

From what I've seen only the 2wd ones had inner arches like you describe, all the 4x4 ones I have seen were like Spadges.

A mate of mine owns one and everything is fabricated with a yb in mind, modified inner wing to fit stock saph airbox, gromet hole from the bulkhead on a saph fitted so the saph looms fits straight in, abs and servo mounts fitted from saph. Its far too good to be a shonky build and if its not a Gartrac then its easily as good IMO.

There is plenty of of people out there now who can fabricate as well or better than Gartrac anyway so it makes little difference wether its a genuine shell or not.
