I can positively gaurantee you they are DIFFERENT.
xr4x4, and xr4i/3 door cossie, the same but different to saphire cossies.
I had a xr4i, my dad currently has a xr4i, I have a sapphy cossie, beleive me they are different.
Sapph cossie the same as mk2 sierra fog lights, and mk3 grandad fog lights even though they are below bumper still the same lights.

all the mk2 sierra's use the same fog lights
same with the granada's from about 85 onwards

the only way you can tell left and right though is to see where the adjuster screws are located

Ford made a Mk 2 2.0 XR4i, 5 door hatchback, as a pitiful badging exercise
