After a mishap with the front calipers and having to send them off to a machine shop, I'm now dealing with the rear ones.
I did plan to tackle this differently by using plus gas and some heat from a blow torch or the like, any other helpful hints????

i have a dead ap cp5000 caliper due to cracking BOTH sides while removing bleed nipples

if they snap off use an e-z-out to unscrew the remains

give them a good clean with a wire brush and then use a good quality penatrating oil leave for a least 3-4 hours to soak in try to aviod using heat if possible

lambchop post the caliper down to me as we could possibly machine them out for you

Already did that with my brembos, and snapped an easy out in the nipple so that made it even worse!!!!!!(ended up being a machine shop job)
It's just the std rear calipers so if they break I won't be gutted, but I'd like to avoid it if possible, it's just the hassle more than anything else of dealing with a snapped one!

you reckon you could repair the caliper? BOTH sides are cracked down the side of where the nipples sit.
