Default Quick question

What are the symptoms of failing CV joints/driveshafts? I have a metallic click under load and when easing off. As always any help much appreciated.

Outer ones click when turning. Inners tend not to go that often, personal experience.

is it only when taking up drive/coming off throttle?

Had this a couple of times and not long after the diff shat itself. (Vauxhall boxes).

However my mates RS 2000 is doing it and has done for months, it just keeps gettin (ab)used.
