Need towing advice
Hey guys, a lot of peeps on here seem to be well informed about towing cars and rolling shells so I'm hoping someone can help me out here.
My Mk2 Mondeo 1.8 has a towbar fitted to the back of it. I've been asked if I could tow a trailor with my mate's Mk4 Escort RST rolling shell on the back of it back from a bodyshop.
I don't know the exact weight of it and he's providing a trailor but I was wondering if anybody knows what the towing weights of the 1.8 Mondeo are and if the car will be up to towing it back?
I only have the 'normal' B category on my licence as well (I'm only 24) - I don't have B+E................is this going to cause me legal issues as well as I seem to understand there is a limit to what I can tow on a particular type of trailor or something???
ANY advice would be most appreciated although I understand that not knowing how heavy the shell is and what type of trailor is gonna be used makes things a bit tricky!
