i guess spending ALL your money on your cars is acceptable now? my wages are 225 per day plus £20 pd's and thats every day weather or not im working or on a day off.... the joys of touring....

but i own a shit M3 and some shit fords... i could afford a GT3 or a vanquish.... but i would have spent a majority of it on a car.. dont think so... i would like a semi 'ok' life and not have to worry for a bit... its not all about the most expensive car IS it?

depends im a " bog standard " sparkie the last company i worked with everything was price work and earning £200 a day was fairly easy on alot of the work we did wich was mainly kitchen and bathroom upgrades for the council i mean for a little example any sparkys on here tell me how much they would earn a day from these prices little council houses all the ceilings down in the kitchen fuse board in the kitchen and bathroom above the kitchen...

£70 fuse board swop
£100 1st fix kitchen ( 4 double sockets and a cooker outlet )
£40 2x 10mm gas and bond
£50 mains smoke detector
£25 1st fix shower
£20 1st fix 4mm earth ( bathroom )

now ive changed company and its just an hourly rate come out with about £380 a week but i have a van now and im alot happier from day to day

thats my hole point, you have a normal sparkie job now and earning 380 a week which is probably a little better than the average sparkie on normal rates

Round our way its only house bashing firms that pay price work and the bigger comercial industrial outfits pay jib rates.

Perhaps some people don't want to waste silly money on cars! Just because your doing well don't mean you have to an expensive car.

I do alright and I drive a £100 car - splashed out recently and brought my missus a car for £700. And if anyone looks at me and thinks I'm poor or anyone I have told what I earn thinks I am lieing I don't give a fook. While most get further into debt every month my fortune gets a little bigger!

at you getting the hump. If you are on £1000+ a week you will have a good standard of living compared to the average person. When you earn more, you tend spend more or there is no point in having a better paid job. Im sure 95% of passionford are on £50,000+ year and yet moan at a £20 yearly membership.

Lee - what you need to bear in mind as far as millionaires go is in real terms it's usually all bollocks. There are tens of thousands of 'millionaires' in the UK but that doesn't mean they have a million in the bank cash. The vast majority are made up of houses and tangible assets, most of which aren't cash. If a guy has a house worth £2m and has a mortgage of £1.5m technically he's a millionaire as he has an asset worth £2m. However, what you need to look at is his net asset position ie. value of the assets minus the liabilities. If that is over a million then you could say he is a genuine millionaire, but it still doesn't mean he has a million in cash, he could only manage that if he realised all his assets and turned them into cash.

Lol cheers mate , but am not daft I know that. Just wondering thats all.....being nosey!

I work for british gas as corgi registered service and repair central heating engineer and with quite a lot of call out or standby i can just manage about £2k a month £500 a week, on a flat month i take home about £1650 a month, which to be honest is crap, ive got no debts and spend piss all on my self a month out of my wages, once the mortgage is paid and the rest of the bills and food for the family (missus and 6 yr old lad) after this theres nothing left! in my opinion if your supporting a family and buying your home you need to be taking home or earning 1k a week to like comfortably. i am constantly looking for ways to earn more and overtime is always avalible especilly in winter but the overtime pay at bg is crap and you have to do shit loads to of it to make a difference by the time tax mans had you, then you don't see the family so whats the point!! i end up constantly trying to make my money by any means possible, what do you guys do to earn 1k a week?? and how did you get into it?

Just having money isnt always enough to get you the "best" lifestyle.

My mate who wrote off my rs500 a few years ago that later ended up as my yellow sierra when we rebuilt it, has an uncle who is a multi millionaire and all that and he's got a nice house of his own in oxfordshire etc, but its not the money that is really cool, its the fact that at the moment he lives here, its kinda nice, but its only on loan to him:

This is the dining room:

Its got its own court, and 11 cells as well, and comes fully staffed as well.

And this is one of his "run around" bits of transport

Carn't be arsed to read 5 pages. I never disclose what i earn. The thing i want i know is what do people spend it on? I hear what my mates earn and some are on great wages, but never have any money, and if they want something they have to get it on credit. Yet i can afford the same and pay cash and have money to go out when i like. Yet they bang on how much they take home but are always skint.
