Default can you strip a cossie starter motor apart?

mine sticks since the oil line to the pressure gauge leaked and filled the starter with oil

sick of not being able to start the car unless i have a mate and the trolley jack handle present or am parked on a hill!! so its coming off now

yes matt, just unbolt the solinoid, split the casing then remove the windings and clean everything,dont use grease as lubricant as the clutch dust will stick to it use graphite instead.
it is usually the the shaft that the gear throws out on the causes the problem.

you can strip anything its whether you can put it back together thats the problem

When you take the back off .....try to catch all the motor brushes as they ping out at you think there is 4

maybe emptying the stack of oil out of it helped just replaced trigger wire terminal and cleaned up everything and replaced and its just done 10/10 starts

brom, aint about being tight, how can i be tight about something i didnt know

fuck it!! its raining but im off out in it now

not really, up and starting though lol

need to fetch the rack off browney and fit that, get the box reconned, remove back plate remove any shit re-fluid and fit this spare diff and prop, and no doubt something else will break in the mean time so add that unknown to the list

getting annoyed with not driving it now so if it breaks it breaks
