Default compression test

what should the reading be roughly in psi (120 etc) for a newly built escoz engine with a .5 overbore , rough idea anyone??? mine is 120 but i notice on other cars some are higher and some are lower, does this change when you go low comp etc???

AFAIK you can't get an idea of the compression ratio doing this test, and will get variations from one engine to the next.

Do you think you have a problem? How was the test done?

Think mine were about 140odd but mine had standard compression. As long as their all the same then 120 doesnt sound 2 bad but best to see what 1 of the tuners says!!

steve,i dont want to know the ratio, i just want to know if 120 is normal for an escoz, it was dopne with a mag tester that screws into the plughole, so if a normal escoz engine has 120, will a low comp engin have a higher psi or lower???
