Nice .

What engine is going in it - a genuine BDT or a Cossie lump (sorry if that was discussed, but because he was at the other end of the table, I only caught the occasional comments) ?

LMAO @ What engine.

Its a full ground up rebuild Mike with all standard or period parts, there wont be a YB anywhere near it!
Anything he cant find in PERFECT condition, he has made to exact original specifications, some of it is fucking silly money IMHO though, like nearly 200 quid a go for the balljoints cause they are the genuine NMB ones etc

Its a BDT, non evolution, but should be running about 550bhp or there abouts, I think Pagey is doing the engine build with steve, and I would imagine Neil Roper is probably doing the head for it.

I just know how difficult it is to get anything for the BDT, so I thought he may have had to replace it. As I said, I didn't get a chance to speak to him, and only over-heard snippets of conversation . I only asked, as he had some "MIS" manifolds made, and thought that one of them might have been for his own project .

Cool car .

Ah fair enough, the MIS manifolds he has are just for his Mk2 escort (yb powered) and for some of the people he knows, I think Scotty and Tommy Fields are both having them for example, but he was able to get a better price by having more of them.

IIRC they are 2200 quid if anyone wants one, but this is not a for sale ad

Im not aware of the reasons behind the length selected, but I would imagine that its probably a direct copy of the ones used on the group A rs200, as I cant think of any reason steve would want to deviate from that.

Ah ok, lots of small adjustment available as opposed to 2 or 3 setting on a circular one with drilled ends?

Some of them that you can get (eg e30 m3) are even in car adjustable to allow you to alter the blade angle during the race apparently, garage19 has a set up at his place.

I was wondering when i would come accross some pictures of this. Was chatting to steve when i collected my engine about it and he mentioned having some bushes made up that were costing ŁŁŁŁŁ.

Has anyone got any pics of it when it was built up?

Just the Escort Cosworth rear one?

Depends what your budget is, anything can be made for it if you want it badly enough.

Steve was muttering about maybe doing some cossie ones, I'll have a word with him about it.

The blades are meant to be the same as the grp A three door (same part number ? or the rears are ?), rear blades are shorter and at different angle.
Bars are the last tarmac/circuit spec.

I guess so - I was just wondering about off the shelf options. So much choice for some of the BMs of the time but nothing for the Cosworths.......

Tim, I really don't think they are as long as those pictured!

I have 2 sets for the RS2000.... 1 for the F2 car and the other set for the Maxi version.

They are obviously longer on the maxi due to the wider track, but still not as long as those pictured.

Will - ATM Sport would prob have them in stock. If you visit them in person, you can make sure you get a set up in good condition.

He bought a BDT engine the other day, but I think thats just a spare one, dont think there has actually been much progress on the actual car.
