and if so will it make it any better

Id imagine it would go in and run the car mate but not sure how the fuelling etc will differ from the needs of the Mondy.

given it mapped for a completely different engine it won't work well....

the rs1800 is 130 brake from a 1.8 zetec,

the 2.0 mondys were 115 brake but had more torque, besides the fact the PATS would need reprogramming to make the imobiliser work again.

136ps m8, 1800 was 115.

its the early motor so dont have coded key

The best ECU would be one marked with DESK, DEWY or DEEP as these were from the early 2.0 16v mk1 Mondeo's - they also had external EDIS and NO PATS.

There is the poss of having to run a trigger wire from the CPS to a pin on the ECU.

I fitted a 2.0 16v to my old FIESTA a few years back....
