To be classed as a classic has it not got to be over 20 years old?

i'd like to know how a lot of people insure these cars..

as i know what they say when i phone up and start reeling off a list of mods..

as i live in an SN postcode (lowest crime rate in uk)

never claimed... never had any points, and i have 6 years NCB

as soon as you mention anything like power hikes, they seem to add another 0 on the end of the price

so how do people like rod, YUM and various other people with crazy power Actually insure them suely they aint paying 3k insurance every year lol..

My 205 GTI track car is insured with HIC, all mods declared (cage, buckets, Mi16 engine, big brakes suspension etc) on a classic policy (as the car is over 15 years old and im over 25) and its £325 fully comp, agreed value, salvage retention and track day cover.

Im 26, the policy doesnt use any ncb and i live in a 'sensible' postcode.
