Yes, Daz and I have both gone for the same system and I reckon its cost us about £1000 for the job lot each!!!! Thats a lot of money just to get fuel from your tank to the rail!!!

Why is everyone always so obsessed with aeroquip fittings when they so hugely expensive for what they are?

I know they look cool but in industial applications they often use push fitting and jubilee style clips at pressures far exceding what a petrol cars fuel system ever gives....

Absolutely Gus, when I was speccing up what Daz and I needed I kept telling him lets do it once and do it properly. Steve, I don't want to skimp on the fuel system especially from a safety point of view. I can't afford to have leaks and risk going up in flames, so proper aeroquip and braided hoses are essential. Push on fittings may take the pressure but its certainly not a risk I would take considering how much money I have in the car.

You get what you pay for with aeroquip fittings , put a selection of Earls , Goodridge, xlr, fortec etc.... on a table and one by one try and fit them , you'll soon see what the good ones are . After youve stabbed yourself a dozen times even tho you save a £5 a fitting , you'll curse that decision.
Alot a grand for aeroquipping your fuel system ,another grand to pay some one to do it for you unless , like me your happy to learn on the job and take your time to get it right . And as for jubilee clips and push fits !!!! Not on my car and im sure not on yours Steve .

I remember thinking / doing that at one stage..... then I remembered I also had to do the braking system too

It pays not to add it all up
