The tax office is just down the road so I'll be running in at 5pm like last year

Quite easy.

I do it every day of the year and get fed loads of work from the local accountants at this time of year. Can usually rake in circa 10k between two of us for three weeks work in Jan.

I don't envy you guys..... even if the money was ten times that I still couldn't stomach working on that kinda stuff day in day out.

I hate that kinda shit so bad I'd really have to think about it

Deffo wouldn't do it full time even if it was 50k a month all year... I would actually loose my mind

Got a reminder through even though I am coming upto doing 2 years PAYE, rung em up and told to fill out the forms to say who I work for etc as they have no record,
G = "Strange that as I pay tax and NI every week out of my wage"
Tax - "Well your not on our system"
G - "Thats because your shit"
Tax - "Fill out the forms when they arrive"

So i put in the notes section
"BEEN ON PAYE FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS SO STOP MITHERING THE POOR"

Dount they will take any notice

You must have known you had that coming as its 20% of what you filed that you earnt

I do my accounts but then give then to my Accountant who then fine tunes it and finds things to claim for

The more you do in preping your own accounts , the less there is for your Accountant to charge you for, but what ever they do charge you is more than off set in what they will save you

I got £300 of my bill for for example for "using the home as an office" which was what i filed as the time i spend doing my accounts. I.E One days Labour

Clothing, Tools, Mobile Phones, Petrol etc etc, we all know about, its the things that we dont know about that add up
For Instance whatever your Accountant charges you comes back to you as well as that can be offset

This year i only got £1200 coming back were as last year i got the best part of 2k

Regards
Ian
