,he made me invoice the car to his mate aswell as put him in the v5,
and that was that,he had no monies lurking about but somthing sellable when things cooled down

could you give her the money back and get someone else to cash it for you? a sister or family member.

Other option would be to withdraw in cash maby, say you spent it if they ask, then feed it back into account after divorce.

second thoughts,c an she actually claim this money if it was recently given to you by your gran?

I suggest you give the money back untill your finances are sorted out, cos I think she can claim from whatever you have.

Good luck. Paul

Can you not give it to your mum to hold on to for you?

I wouldn't leave it against your name during a divorce!

Surely there is a break point after which your ex cannot claim for any 'new' funds as she is no longer with you?

Right a cheque back to your Gran mate, then get her to write another one to a trusted friend of family memebr that can look after the money..

Any one asks legally.... can you not say she needed it for medical expenses or bills etc or it was lent to you to buy something and you changed your mind. cant see your ex getting funny with that as you gave it back to the inital provider.

If you got the cheque after you seperated - she can go whistle for it. nothing to do with her from that point on.

(Officially divorced as from last monday )

I have just got divorced........I was advised the following from a very expensive solicitor

Get ALL your money out and into someones account that you trust with your life....

Then plead living expensise and gambling as stress relief

Worked for me
