I was going to bid on this at lunchtime when it was around Ł55, but its not worth Ł130 just to piss off the neighbours a couple of times.

being titanium does this cause probs welding to other metals for brackets and down pipe etc?

Noise wont be a problem for the MOT, ive MOT'd cars with no silencers before, the turbo works pretty well as a silencer anyway.

aye, tig and mig works from what i remember being told, but obv tig is nicer, same as with stainless or anything really.

Titanium is TIG welded as per ally/steel/stainless etc. - only specific conditions are that it needs to be done in an argon purge and with appropriate filler rods.

Didn't stop me cutting an old titanium silencer tip into 1mm strips and TIGing with it in normal stylee for a 'field repair' once
