Default Sky+ Box to TV Connection.

Whats the BEST way to connect a standard Sky+ box to a TV, bearing in mind the TV has all the new fancy inputs and the Sky+ box is old skool and hasn't lol

you need HDMI or component leads if your source/screen has them

iirc Sky + box doesn't support HDMI only sky HD does...

Maybe a decent scart lead will be ok

The tv I have is a Samsung LE46M86BD aka 46" LCD with 3x HDMi, etc.... You name it its got it input and out put wise, but the Sky+ box has just scart, S-Video, Aerial in, RF out all the usual 20th centuary connections...

Just wondering if scart was the only way to go....

Make sure the box is setup to output RGB on scart, and that you plug the cable into an RGB compatible socket on your TV.

Scart can carry composite, s-video and RGB at the same time (i.e. there's enough wires for all of those at the same time).
If you don't use the best possible connection (RGB) you'll get nothing better than composite or s-video.

Hope this helps.
