insurance on Evo's
whats it like to compared to a modded escos???
i should imagine its a bit more but wondering if theres much differance!
it will be on another policy so that will bump it up (no claims bonus is on the escos policy)
thanks in advance.

EsCos was £520 something and the Evo was about £800. Thats clean licence all the no claims, mature driver etc I'm sure I could it cheaper but on the day I couldn't be arsed to phone them all up It was worth it though

i've always liked them, planning on selling the escos this year & moving, then when settled in new house, save some money & buy an evo,,,,, but the missis is on about getting one before we move, so i'm thinking if the right car comes up for the right money................
Then later in the year sell the escos, evo & FRS,, we would probably get a golf of focus tdi then to get around in.

I'm paying roughly £200 more a year than my Saph Cos at 470bhp, for my 3 year old Evo.
I keep reminding myself that the Saph was a tatty 18 year old car, worth £5-7k tops, and the Evo is 3 years old and worth more than double.
Perfectly fair and acceptable increase for me based on the above.

SiB thats kind of the way i look at it, the escos is a great car but it feels old & heavy, the evo is a newer & more reliable car, we would probably get an evo 8, i know its not hard or to expensive to get around 380bhp & keep it reliable,,, most people go on about short service intervals on the evo's,,, 4.5k till the next basic service is not bad, most cosworths need a load of money spending in that time anyway
the plan was to get one after the move but if i can get one at the right money then i can sell it in a few months & not lose to much.

They're addicitive! I've spent I'd guess £2.5k on mine since Oct, and no end to the plans as yet!

My Escos was £200 more on insurance than my Evo when I had them both, both were the same power - about 370bhp with all mods declared and for the second year in a row, my premium has gone down.
