so your problem is the door bars are too long?

the front parts look right.

you have to cut the door bars down to fit, I beleive they have to be positioned between your sholder and elbow for drag raging, don't know about track stuff.

Fair enough if it's a road car, but track guys and the NHRA have examined safety so thier methods are probably better thought out.

if you have to miter the ends and weld them in, use this link for the program http://www.ozhpv.org.au/shed/tubemiter.htm

oh, and tell your insurance company.

just had a customer crash his car with undisclosed mods and they voided his insurance and won't pay out.

I do not see the point of a roll cage in a car with full a interior. Why do you need a roll cage in a road going RS Turbo? Look at the cars that have roll cages fitted. Im pretty sure they dont have carpets, std dashboard, a STD steering wheel.

I am not trying to diss you, only asking why do you want to put a roll cage in a road going full interior car? Ask Nuts RS to show you a pic of his escort and the rollcage and look at the difference between his car and yours.

At least his moves and see's daylight tony

It will be a tight fit, but will go in.

Imagine having 2 inches of play... you would then be posting "my cage is too loose, what if I roll it in Tesco's this afternoon, will my screen break ? "

Its a tight fit for a reason

Bend the legs about to get it in

I know why its a tight fit Hence some people having to cut th roof of the car to get it in. I just dont see the point of a roll cage in any road car that will be used for social and domestic purposes including driving to and from a place of work !

Just a thought, but if your on chopped springs you have lowered the car so may need to chop 2" off the legs of the cage too

its a omp 6point cage...

and im just putting a 1.6cvh in....

and its going to be my daily runner and my track toy...

and i will insure it as a 1.6 and declare the cage...only reason i didnt before as it was my first car and no way was i going to insure a 1.6 well not for cheap anyway!

its not got full interior its only got the front seats and carpet in the front!

and as the cars off the road at the moment beeing sorted etc for track use why does it matter if its on chopped springs and on the drive!!

so if you dont know what i plan to do with it and how things are then fuck off!!!!!!

you need the interior for Road Rally specification. whats the reason for all the agressive posts against Bonus Boy? if he wants a cage in a daily runner then let him... i can understand people letting him know about insurance... but all he wanted to know is how to fit it... he might have changed his mind from the slammed look, to wanting to build a road rally car???
