i'll even pay for the entry - and navvy for you phil

the last time i competed at weeton we was 16th o/a with a broken gearbox mount after stage 2 (im sure tim will remember - i still owe you and axles stand plate ) and crawled out of 2 stages
and the time before that me and tim made 2nd o/a - so we have good history of results there

what do you say phil ? my licence should be back any day ? if you get scared we could always swap seats

First ever event in an EVO, tempting as it is I think it might end in some of these -

Markk stop enticing me

Seen it last time I was at Tims and it looks a nice car, just really don't think it would be suitable.

FPMSL - heres a little story for you mate.............................................. .......................

i did a deal with tim to do one of my favourite events of the year - Grizedale forrest.

only ever seen a pic of tims evo, so though yes - go for it, sorted the hotels etc, got my usual navvy to agree, now, id never driven a 4wd car on gravel before, and never driven an mitsy evo - ever, but cars a car and all that, ive done grizedale 5 times beofre in 2wd cosworths etc.

arrived at the event early, went for a snooze at my hotel, gets a call from tim, " cars been scrutineered-go and sign on", cool arrive and drive at its best - car was in parc ferme inside his covered trailer (still not seen it) off we went ready for the std rally pissup and food on the night before an event,

the following day, we arrived at parc ferme, kitted up, service crew were on their way, so i decided to lift the trailer up, saw teh car, new brakes, new wheels, new tyres opened what i thought was the drivers door FOOK ME ITS LEFT HAND DRIVE

ive never laughed so much at the start of a rally in my life, car was great to drive and i took to LHD like a duck to water, was so much more pleasing to drive, and natural to have your right hand on the gears, cars was great even wit the 32mm restrictor in

That was nice of him to tell you in advance At least you had a good time though Remember reading your review on it.

It is sorely tempting as I know that Tim would have everything spot on ready with the car etc but I wouldn't want to be out holding others up and potentially damaging the car in the process.

go fo the biggy mate

i may hire it again for a single venue in the summer, not only to see what it can do, but what i can do in it, as i reckon even i could get a decent result in that car

well the new car is in the hands of Mr Gallacher at the moment, then possibly with someone else (deals not been done yet ) but with what we are trying to build and the fact that a few other life changing things are happening this year.............................................. ................... should be next week - no really i dont know, im in no rush, i like development iand take great pride in doing something 'differant' from the norm so it may be this year (hopefully in time to get a few rallies in )

that KA is a weapon, i was at tims after grizedale looking at it - its a full pukka spec car i was like

I will go for 8x16 on my saph "rallycar". So I can use 315 brakes which will fit without any modifications 7x16 and 5x16 (if I can find some) wheels. Only bad point with 16" is on tarmac with 4.44 the top speed is really low (110mph) but 5th gear ratio has been sorted now !
