anyone know if its possible to reinstall windows 98 without losing all my installed software and files? I'm trying to upgrade to XP but am missing some setup files so can't until I sort it 
Also, I can't find the Win98 cd, does that mean I'm fooked?
or can I download it or summink?
Any help appreciated

Stick the disk in another PC, retrieve your data, then wipe and start again

don't use the crap xp upgrade version if u need to keep your data buy another drive install O/S on new drive and put old drive in as a slave drive

ok... I am not very good with computers, so what you're sayin means nowt to me, I ain't got a clue about this slave drive thing!!
