Default Avon ZZ3 tyres.............

Anyone used or got any opinions on Avon ZZ3 tyres?

Looking for new tyres for the E39 and I can get a set of ZZ3's for £400 delivered in the sizes I need,

Just wondering on opinions and experiences of said rubber

I had them on mine. Very good tyre IMO.

Not as grippy as my current Toyo T1-S , but seemed to last a bit longer.

my mate had some on his m3 evo rears and reckoned they weren't to clever in the wet when they were knackered he replaced them with some hancook ultima sports which were a lot cheaper and he reckons are 10 mtimes better in all conditions.
He has just fitted 4 to his P1 as he reckons they are better than a lot of more expensive tyres.
I reckon Goodyear F1's are awsome but they don't last very long.

That'll do me

Might get another set of Falkon FK452's - had them on my sapph and they were outstanding for a cheapish tyre

I've used them. Worst tyre I've ever put on, they even make Uniroyal seem good!

Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 are pretty good. Although I'm not sure if they make them in the sizes you need.

Imagine your going to need alot of rubber for a 5 series!

So that's a plus point then?

I hated mine.

Michelin or maybe Pirellie PZero Rosso worth a look, depending on budget.

Don't scrimp on them if you can help it. Are you joining us at the Ring early May by the way?

Si

Cheers for the reply boys

The sizes I need are indeed a LOT of rubber - 235/40/18 for the front and 265/35/18 on the rear

absolute bag of wank, mine is deffinately not one of the fastest cossies on here and it will comfortably light up all four wheels, whilst driving in a straight line in 3rd, in the wet, steer well clear!
