£330-£360 for a loom mate, depending on spec required and plugs for SECS and alarms etc.

think what dingy is aying is that for some people there aint a difference

most people just wanna ecu that can do so much and autronic is prob too many features for some

tbh i looked into autronic and it was mtoo much for what i needed hence i never bought it

if i new about simons ecu and price ( yes thats the deciding factor for me as im tighter that thrush in a pub 2 days before payday ) i would have bought that

in the end i got a very goot deal and a dummy proof loom that any idiot could work out what to do ( even me ) of christian that does all i needed it too

but wasnt far off the price of what SECS would cost though ( but was a good deal though )

i really cant see where this argumant is going as you both have chosen options ya happy with

ya both right if ya happy with ya desisions just one costs more than the other

bit pointless tbh

oh and dingy what ya charge to make a coosie loom incase ya aint replyed

im interested thats why ding

From the posts readin, it sounds like MAD customers use autronic for a simple reason that mark doesn't or can't map standard cosworth management.

That to me doesn't sell it at all, as it appears only MAD customers are pushing this over an ECU with a £1500 value to one that will do all the same things as the other regarding power delivery @ £500.

So as topic says, is autronic the way forward, then the answer is simle...

Depends on how much money you got and who you want to map it.

If the answer means you can use a pectel system then the answer is surely no its not, its an alternative.

so being in IT, that means if its got a GUI i can do but if its assembly i can't....

A person who can learn software can map it, if they can map engines as far as i understand it...

No need to shout out me ranj, don't mean i think that the autronic is worth 3 times the price of the SECS, cause not one post on this thread as said otherwise.

Ranj that has fuck all to do with it.

You go to a tuner with a cossie, as mark is a cossie expert and he says he can't do it cause i sell autronic now....wtf is that all about.

I also aint trying to turn it into a SECS VS MAD thing either, wtf does that concern me....

The topic says "is autronic the way forward"

To which i think, not really, its an alternative.....depending on budget

Not read any of the last two pages, BUT Dingy I know you have a bit of spare time now and again so why not have a chat with Simon and build him some looms??? Surely there is a basic spec that you can build that he can offer with the SECS? Surely this would make it more marketable to cretain potential customers....

I think that would be produce a 'symbiotic' kinda relationship...

God this 3rd bottle of Red is really kicking in

pmsl @ followers. What exactly do you think you are?
Mark is a mate and has helped me achieve the results I had really been seeking + hopefully in time I can achieve my new goals again. Followers.....pmsl, I don't follow anyone and anyone that believes that they are a follower of a tuner or a person that makes/sells ecu's really does need to grow up and think of what they really should be following instead of bickering and ass licking.
They are cars at the end of the day, some people take their hobbies and interests a little more serious than others however I think that this post has exercised more than enough bullshit over sense now.

Lastly, AUTRONIC? Cossie management? SECS? PECTEL? or whatever, it's your call what you use and who you choose to map it. Everyone on here bigs up what they have for the sake of them having it. You will never find a person on here with a certain type of ecu stating that another one is as good or better. Well hear this I personally think that Pectel T6 is just as good as Autronic SM2 however if Mark is mapping it I go Autronic route and if Ahmed was mapping it I would go Pectel route...simple! I have my personal reasons on choosing who maps or has mapped my car which I do not wish to disclose on here as everyone can appreciate. New Autronic SM4 is out very soon and I will be checking it out fully and hopefully using that for my new engine.

Peace - Sunny.

YUM360,
It is clear that you believe all cossies that dont have a BRAND new wiring loom are sh*t.

Most people only replace items on their car when they fail or look like they are
going to fail (or have money to burn).
Not everyone "NEEDS" to replace there wiring loom.
Yes, cossies do suffer ECU wiring loom problems as does any car of that age.

It is a fact that Autronic on cossies requires a different wiring loom and so it must
be replaced if that ecu is used.

As a comparison, your ESCOS is probally araound 8-10 years old,
By the same logic - you had better reshell it as its old even though it
may be in perfect condition........

Being a trader anyone would think that you would know better. My friend take a look at yourself your not making yourself look very good and it doesnt do your business any justice either. In my post I talk about imo Pectel T6 being as good as Autronic SM2 as I know both the ecu's. This makes my post a Maddette post? Quite clearly completely the oppersite. It's clear that the real reason why your posting shit is because I never compared anything in my example with SECS and the reason behind that is that I have not had any experience with SECS as I have never needed to...either way like I give a shit! After checking your attitude and your replies on here as a customer I would be very put off even expoloring the SECS avenue.

sunny, Your post (up a few now) started out being a genuine well balanced
note and then you sum it up by saying...

.....New Autronic SM4 is out very soon and I will be checking it out fully and hopefully using that for my new engine. ....
This is why I dubbed you a "madette". Just had to get another ozzy "plug" in.

I DO have respect for Mark/MAD and Autronic for that matter as I have said above
on this thread earlier on but your opinion is blatently "everything but autronic is cr*p"
hence my reply that you have taken offence to !

And as a matter of fact, my business is doing well despite your efforts to bring it down !

....and SECS S8 is compatible with std Cossie looms. Think you just configure the ECU for your TPS etc..
