Always loved the saph cos
especially 4x4 and magenta
so this car will be with me for a while, have thought about selling her and the plate and getting an evo but then its starts all over again,
I've been pumping money into cars since I was 15 years old and nowadays just want to get the mortgage paid off asap

I wont be using the saff as a stepping stone to the escort, altho i love it its just not the same as the saff, i`d rather spend my 15k on an evo 8 tbo, and a very good 8 you would get too

If you've always wanted one it's prob best you get one. You'll always hanker for one. I've had 2 now and would go for a Saff next, purely because I haven't had one and always fancied one...
It's all to do with what YOU want mate. The thought's in your head that you want one and it'll always be there untill you do.

Had four 4x4 Saph's
1st was stage 1 loved it was reliable and give it a hard 7 months worth of use
2nd Smokestone 4x4 saph love dit even more modified to stage 3 then got wrote off
bought a stage 1 malard green Escos was ok never really felt anything towards it
then bought a fully done Stage 3 Radient Red Escos liked it loads, used it all threw summer, found it totally non-practical scared to park it anywhere pain in the arse if ya wanted to carry passengers
sold it to buy a 304-R Rouse Sport Saph l,oved this car more than any whish i'd kept it
Now back in a 4x4 Saph and lovin it again practical, don't feel to worried about parking it anywhere & it owes me half the price of an Escos.
unless an Escos was 400bhp+ and was proper sorted i wouldn't buy another they just not worth the extra ŁŁŁŁŁŁ

they are a lot of money on top of the saff and they are a pain in the arse to leave parked up etc....
but.....
they are the ultimate imo.
i started off with the rs2000's mk.2, then the erst m.k2, then the saffs etc...
always wanted the cosworth model...then when i could afford the saff, over 16 years ago
then i got one, but i aways looked up to the escorts
they have always been at the top of the list for me.
if you want one get one, then if you don't like it,sell it.

when i got my first cossie i had the money to get an escos............but decided to get a saff.........just like the understated look........dont get me wrong,i'd love a red escos or a white 500.......but think i'd rather sort out the saff..........

Escos is top of the tree for me although I do own a Sapph. Can't afford an Escos in Oz as they are too expensive.
Each to there own I suppose.

Escos for looks only and 3 door also, but practical family saloon saph with either rwd or 4x4 and can park it anywhere as it partially blends in and not in your face with the whale-tail shouting steal me steal me
Would love another saph cossie and i do think that 3 doors and escos is truly stunning but couldnt be arsed with scared to park it anywhere mode

I love my Saph, and would only change it for an older car like a 3 door or a MK1/MK2 Escort RS2000.
I like the retro feel, and an Escos or RS Focus would be going in the wrong direction for me.

Escos isn't the pinacle, 3dr is IMO.
Thats why i bought a 3dr as my first cossie (low mileage white one that's now Maxest's).
Bought the Saff as i wanted cheap 2wd cossie to use and not be worried about bending a panel on a trackday and it costing an arm and a leg to fix.
So mine is not a step to escos and will be staying for a long time.
Would love another 3dr now i have the space to keep 2 cossies and 2 daily cars.
