I'm more likely to throw the cash at the saph if i'm being honest . 
Escos aint all that apart from looks obviously, saph i find is nicer to drive than the escos and i dont like the escort interior plastics

Escos must be considered a more desirable car as prices are still 2 to 3 times what you'll pay for a saph for a car of similar age.

Its the running gear that would put me off an escos as well. Lovely cars, but at least wit the RWD you can give it more abuse if you are running a bit more poke.

keep the saph but than again im just saying that as i love the saph out of all cossies..could have brought a rs500 but theres something about the saph mines going 420 next

different cars really IMHO, I have an escort and a saff, escort feels so much shorter and more aggressive, saffs are great cars for getting 4 big mates in and still doing 160MPH and are quite stealthy really Both drive really well if sorted properly, get sick of people saying cossies handle shit etc when most of them have 350bhp and a set of rusty old -300mm lowering springs on 15 year old dampers

Love the looks of all the cossies for thier various traits, 3 door is just classic 80's touring car, saff is brutal and clean in the same way a delta integrale is, and the escort is a sort of monster hybrid of all the cossies before it, and are still a serious knicker elastic snapper from 50 paces
I still have the love for them, only cossie I have not owned is a 3 door, which I love but they really do feel "old" to drive against a saff, and feel ancient compared to a escort. But I will get a white 3 door sometime to complete the set

i love them! im a but of a snob really as i wouldnt have a 3dr because i would always be thinkingtheres a better version out there in the 500
