over a few beers last night, a few mates and me were chatting about weapons and usual shit When it got onto the subject of "looking after" yourself if you was burgled whilst being in... or something along those lines.

A mate said he has several large knives in the bedroom... incase someone breaks in.. Know, if he was to protect himself and stab this bloke that had got im, he would get done I assume? (which IMO is wrong)..

Cut a lonmg story short, do any of you have any interesting stuff to protect you if the worse was to happen?

We ordered 3 cosh's last night good weapon tho, as it will hurt but not kill...

weird one I know... but this revision is boring the fuck out of me

Our shed got broken into, my mum woke at 6am to see the shed door lying on the garden, so me an my dad grabbed a hammer each from the house and crept up, they were long gone. In saying all that, i dunno if i could have smashed someone with it if i caught em tho

i know someone who got broken into, as you would be youd be fumming and want to kill the little scrote

the guy started talking to the police man about what would happen if he kicked the crap out of him

basicly you can only do something if the theif is in your bedroom(personal space) otherwise you cannot hurt him (by law)

the best thing to do is if you get broken into and kick the crap out of him or even kill him is to put a knife in his hand and say he tried to attack you first.






Does anyone remember that farmer who got broken into and shot the theif with his shotgun? he got put in jail and that is outrageous imo

I think you'll find that he got done as he shot them while they were doing a runner ..but hey fair play to him, I think most people would of done the same if they were in his position and been burgled more than once!

If someone is in your home regardless of what room it is, they deserve a kicking and you should get praise for it, not a jail sentence

this is what I'm saying though... it's all well and good having loads of knives, sword etc, but would you realistically stab someone..? say you kill him, you'd be looking at a long stretch..!?

He made 2 mistakes, the first was to run off and disappear for a couple of days.
The second mistake was not killing the second intruder that became a witness against him

I think you'd have a hard time to defend yourself in court if you attacked a burglar with a knife.

Having a baseball bat is one thing, as you could probably injure an intruder, or at least present the threat of injury. With a knife, you're probably talking about assault with intent to kill.

Now obviously the burglar's rights should be minimised the moment he breaks in, but it's a long stretch to saying that he deserves to die for it.

Add that to the fact that 90% of the people on here would talk a good game, but more likely shit their pants in the unlikely event of coming face to face with an intruder, and even more so if he was armed.

Personally, I'd just want him out the house as quickly as possible - I wouldn't want to be getting into any kind of fight with him with girlfriends/family in the same building.

So if you do ever catch a burgler in your house and give them a good beating all you need to do is make sure they're on the floor in the bedroom when the police show up

All the people that keep weapons in the house dont you ever think about what happens if a burgler got the better of you If you really want a weapon i'd imagine something like a taser would be better as at least they wouldnt be able to stab you or give you a beating with it

Here's a simple answer to it.

Intruder breaks into your house, you confront him and smash him over the head with the NEAREST object when threatened by him (what's considered threatening is up to the individual though.....keep it reasonable). I couldn't see how any court would convict if the intruder was left injured.

OR

Intruder breaks into your house and you confront him. Purposely grabbing a weapon you have under the bed or elsewhere "just in case" and then stabbing them, stoving their head in or causing any other injury would be likely to land you in REAL hot water.

There's no real need to have weapons like the above pictures at home. What purpose do they have anyway?

Now just got 3 3 cell Maglites and a 6 Cell Maglite, just so I can dazzle em But in fairness if anyone breaks into my house they had better run faster than Linford or they wont EVER walk again.

Going back 10 year or so when I was up to my eyes in most things dodgy as fuck I had a tool hidden in each room of the house I was that paranoid someone was gonna do me, It was shortly after that I realised living in paranoia was not good and levelled myself out

The Police had a knife amnesty and I had a blade fuck knows where I got it from but it was that big, serrated and damn right evil looking I rung the police to pick it up from my house as I dared not go out in public with it as it shit me up

The large maglites are the best things to have, as you were using it to look for the theif, he swung for you and you hit him with what you had in your hand at the time!

I have no problem, as mr hawke once said on dirty sanchez, "Well, this is the way I see it, anything can be killed, and i'm pretty big"
If all else fails my gun cabinet is 10ft away from my bed!

The 6 cell is too long really, a confined space say a hallway or landing your gonna hit a wall or ceiling before a crook, where the 3 cell is small enough to get an unobstructed swing at the twats bonce
