my mates renting out ROOMS in hes house hes invested in,,, hes charging 400 a month for a small room and 650 a month for room thats a big front room

shared kitchen and bathrooms

hes paying 1250 a month for a 2 bedroom flat

another bloke in barnet way pays 800 a month for a 1 bedroom converted flat that was a terraced house but its nice inside,,,, though its the upstairs of a 3 bedroom house so its a little compact still

living in london sucks unless your renting a place you own and dont mind living in a flat for a few years till your investment looks after you

When i was in Aberdeen ( Bridge of Don ) i was paying £195 for a studio flat which was a half decent size and very cheap i thought.

Moved up to Inverness (Beauly) and was paying £400 a month for a 2 bed flat, plus £125 a month council tax !!!

Renting is always expensive

fucking hell, your council tax is 10 quid cheeper than mine

renting is not " cheeper" always,,,,,, you dont have to pay for repairs/plumbers/rewiring/buildings insurance

i got RAPED by a plumber who had to come out at 4am to sort my blocked main waste pipe that is shared with the house next door as it was a weekend and the waste was comming though the dishwasher onto my floor

that was just under 400 quid for that but i has JUST finished my new kitchen,,,,, so i needed it sorting or i would need another kitchen

I'll give you a quick overview of what i've paid over the last few years:

Buckingham, Buckinghamshire - Private Rent - 2 bed, mid terrace with car parking area, patio at the back and shed. Nice area and decent size £600 per month exc. bills.

Bills around £100 a month.

Hale, Manchester - Flat share - 4 bed flat above commercial premises on the town high street (hairdressers) - no car parking or anything - decent sized rooms - £220 per month exc. bills.

Bills around £60 a month.

Blackpool - Lodging - 3 bed mid terrace house, within walking distance of the prom, have my own room and full use of the house - £300 a month including bills.

Very nice place and in a good area, used to stay in Danestone and was very quiet, nice and easy to get into town from there as well but still far enough away that its quiet !

The Parkway can be a fucking nightmare when its busy though and is always chok a block with traffic !!!!!

Dont seem too expensive considering its a new build, done to a high standard and all by the look of it.

Council tax will be pricey though

Gotta agree..... it's actually cheaper than our 2 bed flat we had 6 years ago from housing association...

I roughly worked out I can rent for 80 years or buy over 25 years..... difference is with renting when things go wrong it costs me nowt. Plus 3 bed houses the same as mine have gone up by £100k in last 7 years in Stevenage and I kinda missed the boat back then

I used to be a regular visitor to Stan at Persley !!!!

Not sure on the council tax though as it a few years ago i was there ( about 4 or so ) and cant quite remember how much my flat was costing me, it was a small studio flat in Bridge of Don and think it might have been around £100 a month, just over maybe IIRC.

Dare say this place your looking at will be a good bit more than that though, would allow for around 180 - 200 a month for it probably !

I pay £600 pcm for my 3 bed semi detached house in Newcastle Upon Tyne. It has a double garage, massive garden, shower room down stairs and a bathroom upstairs.
The council tax is something like £130 a month.
