Default 1.8 zetec to 2.0

Is it a direct swap? as in all I have to do is take the 1.8 out and put the 2.0 in?

My cabriolet engine is getting tired now and for the price of a new engine may as well buy one of these?

Actually for half the money I could buy this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-FOCUS-1-8...QQcmdZViewItem

But they both say they are from the Focus range and mine is a 97 Escort so would everything line up as it should?

I know wharts needed for a fiesta so i presume its the same for a scort.

You will need to put a 1.8/1.6 sump and pickup on the 2.0 to get it to fit into the bay. Will also need 1.6/1.8 waterpump as 2.0 runs opposite direction. Use a 2.0 ecu and maf and your away.

Will also need rs1800/focus inlet and an rs1800/st170\four branch exhaust manifold to get maximum potentential out of the engine.

You might have problems if your car is internal edis rather than external like my fiesta is.

Looks like a load of work for nothing really

Any idea if the brand new 1.8 zetec would go in?

Is that a standard exhaust manifold on the 2.0?
