power to weight is very important but only half as important as traction!!
fwd with 500 per ton
rwd with 500 per ton
which will get to 100mph first??
rear wheel drive i'd guess.
my mk4 wont have more than 170bhp and is quite light but its more to do with the smooth power delivery of a n/a zetec that makes it quite rapid, i recon it could beat a std cossy on 1/4 mile.
my old fiesta did! it done 15 sec pass with just 140bhp! and cost me £150 to make, lol

my mk 3 fiesta gives me about 225 Bhp per ton I am sorting out N2O and then hope to achieve 275 Bhp per ton. or enough to overtake much newer and more expensive cars while having a fun day out in the country!

RS Turbo was 270bhp 1002Kg with Fuel, Cage and 90Kg Driver for corner weighting = 269.4bhp/tonne

Always thought RS Turbos were 980kg according to the book, but i'm seeing different figures quoted when I search, anyone able to give a definitive weight for the S2 RS Turbo

My t4 powered saff will be 530s and 1200 kg so around 441 per ton

At 32psi 520 if your lucky, a 14 ex will give you 20bhp and work much better from 5500 a 8000 rpm.

I'll await the people who love std cams to disagree though lol
