a weeks worth of driving then

if a copper pulled you and they were flush you would prolly be looking at 3 points and a grand fine for each tyre, so the tyre fitter prolly done you a favour.

not to mention that it takes longer to stop with low tyres in this weather

anyway, enough of the class lesson

the raised bits are generally 2mm, but this can vary with tyre manufactures.

the legal limit for a car is 1.6mm and 1mm for a motor bike

the average height of a new tyre tread block is around 8mm

you mad man lol.

i always thought it was 1.6mm but it will always vary slightly with different manufacturers. if your tyres get down that low then defo change them as they wont be givvin ou full grip so takes longer to stop and gonna skid easier so poo handling.

Speaking from a 'personal' opinion, I don't believe for one second he was doing 110mph in the wet, I have never been in a car with him in the wet....

Under 130mph!

The tread wear indicators are usually at 1.6mm

The leagal requirement is 1.6mm over the centre 3/4 of the tyre and visible tread on the shoulders.

Wrong a tyre can be devoid ( bald) of any tread on the shoulders
