What kind of output energy(spark) will it give?

And what kind of valve will be used when the S8 is going to control the boost?

Never measured it directly at the HT end but current consumed
by the coil is substantial when on boost/rpm.
Sorry. Dont have any specific measurements.
All I can say for sure, so far is NO special CDI ignition unit has be
required or used with S8

We were running 0.65mm plug gaps without a hint of missfire on boost.
This also helps us get a decent idle quality.

Yes it is possible to run 4 coils in a future software upgrade available
within the next month or so.

Yes the 5 bar map as sold by Phil is fully compatiable and requires
no calibration to work.
E.G. A car mapped on 3 bar sensor, only 1 setting is changed to use
a 5 bar and NO remapping will be required except to cater for more boost
if the additional range of the 5 bar is used.

The S8 can use either Air injectors (YAWN) as per other cossies,
the standard amal valves (Escort cossie best one).
Or you can attach an aftermarket high speed valve such as the
one used by Greddy/Blitz etc.
The control output can either be programmed to be on/off for specific
engine conditions or can be used as either high speed or low speed
pulse width modulation (PWM) for mapable boost with RPM/LOAD.

Now Im out of breath......

So it uses just the valve and not the electronics box...

thanx Simon..

OFF THE FOOKING CHARTS

AND he did it with 200mph gearing! sooo impressive.
Whats even more impressive is that was from a FAR from perfect launch! The way the timing gear works is it triggers once theres ANY movement, and Simon found it impossible to totaly hold the car in place with the launch control etc going on, so the timing gear started probably a good 1/2 second befoire he actually launched it!

Now its got a proper gearbox that car is fookin craaaazy

The attention to detail in this engine build is mind blowing.
Here are a few things that were done......

ALL edges on the inside and out have been deburred/chamfered down to save weight.
(and prevent engine builder from cutting himself)

All internal bolts/nuts are stainless steel wired to prevent them coming loose.

EVERY bolt/nut during construction was torqued and logged on to a record sheet.

According to you, I thought that engine dyno's were supposed to be for just "pub talk" - glad to see you have finally woken up and smelt the coffee .
