Sory chap. Last thing I want to do is disuade you but at 17 it really aint likely to happen. My bro was 19 when he got his standard FRST and it cost him £1600 to insure TPFT and that was with 2 years NCB. He's 21 now and it's a bit more sensible. I got mine at the age of 19 and it cost me £850 TPFT but that was 9½ years ago

i rung 1 insurance company they quoted me ..............


£10,496 full comp

yet i rung another and they could do it for £1750 3rd only

know any other turbo motors that are pretty cheap insurance

had one as my first shed to run about in - was riddled with rust and fell in bits - whats good about em.

only decent one now is the new MG V8 based on the rover 75

At 21 a std one cost me £1450 TPF&T with 2yrs NCB

At 22 a modified one cost me £670 TPF&T with 3yrs NCB, but limited to 6000miles

i have a couple of rough quotes and there all around the range of £1200-1600 fully comp at 20 with 1 years ncb's can't wait till i get one now

Mine is £600 and i'm 21 with 1NCB that was with HIC i got that price last year not sure what they are like now with the "big" claim

stick to a slow car mate. no 17 yr old wants to hear it but its true. realistically you will only be able to insure a standard 1 & tbh you will get used to it quite quickly! boredom sets in & you will want to mod it!

advice is to save up for a few years & get a NCB behind you. then you will get a tidy example as you will be able to spend more on one & be able to tune the tits off it!!

21 2 years NCB limited 6K a year, 440 odd Now 22 and will have 3 years soon *touches large bit o wood* so see what it is next, although gunna get agreed value and declare some shit so will be more i reckon
