Hi all its a long while since ive posted on here, last night beetween 11pm-6am my car was stolen from near Wisbech (Cambridgeshire) so please keep your ears and eyes open. Theres not alot that makes it stand out from any other 3dr apart from it had 18" RL7's on and it was mint, i had it resprayed last year with new doors and bonnet and the shell has never had any welding done to it.

The engine was near standard with just a k+n and stainless, lucky enough i had not fitted my new engine which i now have no car to put it in.

I will try and scan some pics and get them up later.

Yes had a Sigma on mate and it was in a locked garage as i dont use it over the winter, my mum sleeps above the garage and didnt hear a thing, unreal i cant belive it.

Probably worth your time to have a drive down to Ipswich I reckon. There's a known group round here that steal a lot of rs's. Police found my mates fiesta turbo on one of the estates near where they live as it had broken down and they couldnt get it started again. You might get lucky and see them driving it about.

I cleared the garage out day after boxing day and the cossie sat outside for 2 days while i did it, only thing i can think is someone was in the area visiting family and see it.

Feels quite surreal dont think its really sunk in yet.

Thanks everyone it honestly does make me feel better knowing you are all scattered about keeping an eye out. Lucky enough i was insured as every year i normally swap my insurance to my winter car but this year i insured the cossie on a classic policy which meant i had to have another car insured that i could use everyday meaning that my winter car was already insured.

Ive spent the afternoon fitting some new locks to the garage as i didnt realize how shit the old ones was, at least now everything else that they left should be safe.

500 Bumper and lower spoiler should be an easy spot and the wheels if they come up for sale ,will keep an eye out my way ,would deffo say it was spotted while you were doing out the garage though cant have nothing these days

Spot on thank you, Pasty it may be closer to you than me by now, its like the copper said at 6.30 this morning if it was stolen at 3.00 Imagen how far they can get in 3.5 hours. Which means by now it could be in Scotland for all i know .

Yes Twins the more i think about it the more it makes sense, ive had the car for 4 years and its never been touched, anyone who knows me would have stole it this time last year as it had my new engine in ready for running in. Also the car sat next to an R1 and all of my tools neither of which were touched, so they knew what they was coming for.

The 500 bumper in the pic was a fiberglass one that i had sprayed the same time as the shell to avoid stone chips but that idea soon went out the window and it was stolen with the original one on .

I had also changed the rear lights and front indicators back to standard.

Did the police ever find who stole the black Reyland 3dr i think it was Mark Reads, as i live about 3 miles from where that went missing.

I shall keep my eyes open up at my gargae and in my area mate (Nothants, Hundington) and also have a word with other garage owners to keep an eye open.

By any chance have you got the engine number and body number on your V5 as if anyone ask's for parts some places need engine numbers.

I was on the M25 last night between 10pm and 1am and never sore it But will keep a eye open for you incase its moved from where there hiding it

(i normal spot RS when im on the road one thing with being a lorry driver and working nights you some time spot people and cars Fingers crossed for you)

i was up that way earlier today and i saw a black 3 door, but i can't rememebr wheer it was other than it was around the cambourne area at around 9 this morning

only caught a fleeting glimpe of it but it could have been dirtied up

can't be of any more help than that i'm afraid and it could be osmeone else motor out for a drive

Gutted for you mate - BUT my 3 door was stolen in Jan 1997 and in June 1998 it was found by the police, i eventually bought it back on a Cat D after the court case had finished - my car had lost its Vin but hadn't been driven, just in storage so fingers crossed.

Again thanks for the support everyone . I hate to say it but i think your right they 100% was not joy riders cause they walked past this sitting on the drive to get to the garage.
