decided to get a proper box andrew?
, i got one off dennis at dome..i,m sure its bmw origin with a spacer of 20mm..sorry cant help any more than that

You sold me one the last time I came up, thats my van spare and I have one on the car....I have another which is a duffer.
I have had these away to the reconditioners who tell me they are a hybrid, but if they are a standard BMW one we could do with knowing......

in my case i made the oilchamber on my sump a tad to big, so it doesnt go clear of the original 4x4 starter, so instead of re-welding it (taking off the sump), ill just buy a ffd starter.
That is if it is smaller, so would need a picture to get an idea.

theyre gonna be expensive and rare,
also just looked at pics of the old fellas and its 3 bolt, i guess theres different types ?
