Default *Anyone able to locate a car for me please*

My Grandad sold his ford Orion ghia about 5 years ago. It was his pride and joy. He recently past away and im trying to find its whereabouts. The only thing ive found on it is the dvla site shows it as not being taxed since 2005 so it may well be scrapped or just off road.
The reg is H463ACN and its a silver Ford Orion Ghia.
My Grandad owned the car since it was roughly 6 months old and it was pampered all the time he owned it. It only had something like 50,000 miles on it when he sold it.

Is anyone here able to find its whereabouts please. It was last known to still be in the north east but it could literally be anywhere now.

It may not have real money value, its just it was my Grandads and I like to get it back as it has sentimental value to me.
Any help offered would be most appreciated

You can write to the dvla and for a small fee they will pass on the last registered keepers adddress.

you will need to give a valid reason to them to pass on the info

Youve got to be joking!?!?!?! I thought that was only if you actually owned the car.

Im sure they wont and cant give joe public the current owners details, surely not.

Failure to provide the necessary evidence or incomplete application forms will result in your application being rejected.

Thanks for the info Guys. I will try and write to DVLA as there is no harm, they will or wont release the owners details if its still registered to someone.
It does look like it might have been scrapped though

I cant see them giving the info to just anyone though surely. I suppose it all depends on what a 'reasonable cause' is.
