changing head to 4x4

Default changing head to 4x4

if i do this will i have to change to 4x4 pistons????

i hope not

i know the 4x4 is half a cycle higher comp than 2wd but will this be the case?

no ,i have 4wd pistons with a 2wd head ,so i dont see a problem the other way round .

Not the answer you want but you'll need to block the oil feed on the turbo side of the head. Also you need 4x4 cam spacers (bits behind cam pulleys) as well as they are thicker than the 2wd 1's (4mm thicker from memory)

sounds a nightmare im seriously considering ust hunting for a 2wd head with plenty on it

was told by machine shop it was getting low,probably last skim

so not spending alot of dough on that 1

+would like to have it all done ready siting at the side to go on rather than take car off the road first

saying that mate its never on the road

Don't give up on 4wd head, its only a bung on the oil feed and piece of piss to get the spacers for behind the cam pulleys

ive asked alan and ggr,the 4x4 is a better head but it will raise my compression

hi mate ive asked a few tuners and some hadent heard of this oil feed issue etc

can you explain further
