Was a good day, I couldnt launch the saph worth a shit but once it hooked up was going well spent a good part of the day on the figure of 8 track having some sideways action

Ksa74, the magenta saph belongs to a mate of mine got a stage one chip and exhaust, was out with him a couple of times and it was going well too

RabMc - I was having a look at your pals Cossie, the one in the photo, stunning car and the brakes were fookin huge!! The boy in the Estate did seem cocky but it was just cool as fook being an estate!

Did anyone see my mate's red mk1 Fiesta with the mid mounted 16v lump with 40s???

i struggled on the figure of 8 there was no grip at all, even had the car full sideway a good few times under full throttle, was running yoko 032R soft tyres as well

nearly had a 2wd cossie( came on a trailer, grey colour with metal inserts for headlights) on the 1/4 mile earlier in the morning, but missed 2nd gear, lucky if there was 1/2 sec between us at the end of the run

vrooooom ptssssshh, i come from near Glasgow airport, was driving a red sierra with white quads and a full rollcage fitted with no interior but 2 bucket seats

Diable red 106 GTi was the car I was in. It is Supercharged running around 0.8bar boost for now and was the first outing at Crail for it. REALLY crap day for a FWD car with over 200bhp though

Hope to get back next year with an LSD and some more power

My mates was ther in his 330bhp spec EsCos and we kept him right till 140mph when we ran out of revs(time for a 6 speed box I think)

www.m-developments.co.uk same sort of spec as the Saxo we built previously that beat the M3 at Crail(http://www.m-developments.co.uk/video/johnsaxo.mpeg). It's on the front page but with old wheels on it

Anyone get any pics????

Nice one barry, was proper going mate! as you say fwd had no chance........even 4d struggled to grip, but RWD they should of jus parked up lol.

Dingy a 6speed box, mostly the 6th gears is an economy effort, jus raise the rev limmit, get ARP big ends etc

cheeRS for the info mate.

We are hitting 140mph in 5/8 of a mile from a standing start and that's at 7300rpm so using a 6 speed box we will manage that and then slot 6th for over 160mph

Don't worry it's all worked out hehehehe

Stripping it out and a cage going in soon too.

What were you in mate?

No mate Crail was our first day, with this car real times when car is 100% done and we are happy with it.

We know it's 140mph as that's the rev limiter in 5th gear and work it back by gear ratios, the Saxo hit 160mph with a longer ratio box in it but the diff didn't like 160mph and soon after exploded itself out the box

Yep the car is standard capacity, the blocks don't really allow for overboring on the 1587cc TU engine and it is stock crank. In fact the engine is stock 106 GTi bar the low comp Omega forged pistons.
