just took me 10 goes to get on and very slow now!

who is actually responsible for it now?

i only use ebay and pf properly on my computer but looks like ill be looking elsewhere soon

With the amount of threads lately from unhappy members, the new owners better make themselves known and actually let people know where they stand, or pf may well slip away imo. its the traders and goldmembers i feel for, i dont pay to use the site, they do/have, and the mods havnt had it easy lately either.

i had a similer conversation with a person who was moaning at me about something at work,,,,, he was arguing that someone put the phone down on him and i was trying to explain we had phone issues

in the end whilst he kept telling me he knows what being hung up on sounds like i got fed up and said " was this what it sounded like" and cut him off

I post only facts mate! I had the continual critical errors last year and have moaned about it, so you're saying because I'm not getting them now, it's a case of licking arse. FFS engage your brain before you press submit in future.

Has anyone thought it might be their ISP that's at fault or is that too complicated a thought for some on here?

No mate it wouldnt but lets not get into that as its quite complex, but suffice to say the worlds telepohone network is very akin to the worlds motorway networks and every time you log on your take a new route to your detination, so if there was a crash on your route to southoffrance.com (M6 J21 say ) then you will be held in a que whilst your route to Blackpool.com may be clear as it goes north...

If you get "Critical error" then thats a server problem as that page is served, but SLOW is normally NOT PF at all, its often a network issue.

I don't know the proper explanation for it, but briefly, the more popular ISPs have more connections/users sharing per block whereas the lesser known ISPs don't. It's also down to how big the exchange is that provides your broadband, so at peak times those that have a lot sharing will have slow issues. The speed of the connection varies based on many different things including where you live and what broadband provider you use.

this has started to happen a lot in recent days
and note i have said days bceause it's not just limited to the early evening rush now either
somtiems it takes 15 minutes to load a page and then it's back to normal again a few minutes later

you shouldn't really be giving a stuff but well done for explaining things
