What is so great about a VEYRON ?
When you consider that it is not the fastest road car, all the technological improvements since the F1, all the extra enginnering for what a few mph.
I don't ACTUALLY think it is a glorified skoda, just an extremely over engineered car of no real benefit in terms of advances to the automtive industry.
I am much more impressed with the McCLaren F1 through it's achievments at the time it did, now who was it that holds the 0-100-0 record, must be veyron ?
I don't like ferrari's, but if you feel the ned to slag someone for thier opinion, and know for a fact god appointed you as the person who can do this go ahead, I take no notice it is ONLY AN OPINION.

have you driven one?

EVERYONE who does is amazed.

These are the things that I think make it amazing.

1. It can do 250mph and yet its docile and small enough that your mum could drive it easily and take it to Sainsburys

2. It can ROMP away from a 997 GT3 RS and latest Exige on small country lanes

3. Its apparently handles really well and is GREAT fun to drive

4. Its a genuine 1000bhp road car that comes with full warrenty etc etc

5. EVERYONE that drives one, LOVES IT

I don't get why you hate it? or call it a Skoda....

the thing that gets me is that you can put it on the line against an f1 set the f1 off get to 120 in it then set off in the veron and still beat the f1 to 200 thats just wrong

So what did the Macca F1 do for advances in the Automotive industry then?!?!?!?

and as for the 0-100-0, If you still think its the Macca F1 then you need to wake up and smell the coffee

Caterham, Mosler, Aerial and Bugatti have all gone quicker from memory!

Not to mention Ultima!

.................u cant really do it on the "public road"......(exceptions)....u have to dissengage the rear spoiler and go in a very straight line,if the car sensors a "whatever degree" lateral movement (like a lane shift) it engages the rear spoiler again.........does anyone know what it does with spoiler...????

Absolutely.

The stat about being able to pass a stationary Veyron at 120mph in a McClaren F1 and that the Veyron will still beat it to 200mph is just mind-blowing.

It was the world’s first production road car to feature an all carbon composite monocoque and body structure.

it was also the first production car to have full underbody air management (fan assisted) and a driver selectable downforce mode.

People get so wound up sometimes. Its only a bit of banter after all. People are intitled to there opinions like ive said so many times. If we all liked and did the same things it would be a boring world.

All personal preference at the end of the day. Personally I'd rather have that new nuts lamborghini (can't remember its name, think there was a post on here a while ago about lamborghini factory trip or something) than a veyron.

But only cos it looks and sounds mad but at the end of the day thats MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE.

But some don't seem to need to use language that others use, the true show of intelligence ?, you be the judge.
Please show me where I stated the F1 held this title ?, as far as I know it is Ultima, but faster cars than Veyron at a fraction of the price.
Still a badged up skoda, ferraris still chav cars IMO.

you answered your own question, it spoils the day for you when you were trying to show off and see how fast it actually was when some bumblewit decides he's going to hog the middle lane in his skoda

Genius.

Do you even know what a chav is? If you do, how would that relate to a Ferrari F40?

Obviously I'm asking you to draw on your self-confessed high level of intelligence.

I have to say, a Corsa is a Chav car, as is a Saxo, 106, Escort and even a Cossie to a certain extent. But a Ferrari?

OK, so you can pick up a mid 90's 355 for reasonable money now, but still out of the reach of most of us.

does make me laugh how every thread on PF has to be turned into a big slagging match.

I know we all have an opinion but do we have to get so abusive towards each other.

If you dont like what you read then move on.

Dont mean to rant but i thought we were all on here for a passion of ford cars, not a passion to slag each other off.

I'll get slated for writing this now...you watch

its not that people dislikes you

its that people dislike bullshitters or people who give out the wrong information, and then when corrected, argue.

plus why the fuck are you a man with the name of a female cat ?
