Why, when I went to buy some non alcoholic cider yesterday did I need to get approval at the self service tills as if it was alcohol? And surely if its non alcoholic, its fruit juice, not cider?

I know this will sound stupid, but it is usually when companies band things together, for instance in Tesco, sometime the till will prompt 'Think 21 Knife" If you are buying a spoon as knives and spoons are cutlery and they get grouped, obviously it would be down to the cashier not being that stupid to ask for ID for a spoon, but the self service wouldnt know any better
