4.111:1 on R32 and R33 GTRs mate, deffo not 4.44, think GTS4s are that low.

3.545 is R34s as they got different gearbox ratios.

i have a skyline R32GTR sump and front diff just lying around that i want to sell actually.

as far as i can work out (and if you weren't aware), the front diff looks like its part of the sump.

its odd that you posted this actually, as i was looking into trying this on a cossie only last night...

When doing the skyline box conversion is there anyway of setting the pressure in the active diff and locking at a set pressure/split , if you did not want to run it adjustable.

no, i was thinking of my options mate !!

If i can find a front diff we can fit independant (with the correct ratio available) then the skyline sequential is an option, ive been looking at xtrac units and they only list up to 4.22:1 on there universal ratios( but i might need to sit down when i get the price back ! )

dont panic yet mate !!

the FFD is still winning for simplicity (unless i can use one of your special unbreakable RnD boxes )

in fact ive realised why you dont break them after looking at your new bady parts

i like andrews idea of turning a 7 1/2 upside down, maybe even a 7?

remember you might be able to machine the sump off the skyline?

come on someone must have a pic, i cant remember what they look like

the problem with turning diffs USD is the lubrication channels in the casting, you end up with no returns or feed to the pinion without major case alteration, thus ultimatly affecting the case strength

yes easily done, but the good part about the skyline box is being able to change the torque split when running.ie launch in 4x4.and as it gets grip change to rwd.

Lloyd- Was just thinking that it could be done like that to make the box swap alot more straight forward, adaptr plate for the bellhousing, clutch for splines then its just mounts and props. Rather than pums and split controller you could use an enerpack jack or similar to adjust pressures till you find a good split setting then lock it off.

iam not sure that would work,as i have noticed the pressure increases as the gear box warms up.
