the admin girl's got a 2 weeks off on holiday, so we gotta cover her workload whilst she's off

monday morning are hectic, gotta distribute about 1000pages worth of reports all round the building, normally takes her (who does it all the time) about 2hrs

normally takes 2 other people doning it the whole day

anyway, prickfeatures here decides for starters hes gonna turn up 2 hours late (jee thanks, its REALLY easy doing all this stuff ALONE )

then he does turn up, he sits there checking his fucking emails and messing about for about half hour, then disapears for the obligatory fag break ok now he asks "can i do something to help" well THANK FOOK FOR THAT yes, you can distribute those reports ive left on the floor... so what does he do? he sorts them into 2 little piles (that make no sense to me why theyre different) leaves tem on the floor, and carries on doing feck all

anyway, i FINALLY get everything done at about midday (by this point i havent even logged onto PF yet! lol) come in and sit at my desk and carry on with my own work, this takes me upto lunchtime and i'm sorted... all the time wathing him fuck about on his screen playing Quizes in Excel

anyway back from lunch and i realise we gotta get the last weeks worth of paperwork (well, data entry basically, boring typing stuff) out of the way before thismorning (has to be done) so i suggest its gotta be done and then nip to the loo, i come bzck and hes sitting at her desk (infront of my boss) sorting thru her intray and suggests in a really narky tone "jim, we;ve gotta get this done before tomrrow, can you help me with some of this please" (basicall just trying to make a scene infront of the boss ) andway, didnt say shit, just started getting on with it...

then a few minutes later i realise he hasnt actually done any of this work, he's only sorted it out into little piles

anyway, i get on with it, and i get 99% of the way thru it

but my back is KILLING ME (completely unrelated, i just get bad back sometimes) so i decide i gotta take my ime in lieu (1.5hrs) and go a bit early so i can have a lie down at home... anyway, there's ONE booklet of work i havnet done yet, just ONE, about 20mins worth... nothing major... i suggest that im gonna come in a bit early thismorning so that i can get it out of the way before starting work n stuff "dont worry" he says "i'll do it"

thank fook me thinks finally the blokes doing some work!

anyway, i come in thismorning, sit down, feel good about everything, log onto PF (as usual ) then when he arrives (15mins late as usual) i get told "oh, i didn't have a chance to do that lastnight youll have to do it thismorning" WHAT A CROCK OF SHIT, YOU JUST COULDNT BE ARSED!

oh look and hes just dissapeared to swap the backup takes from the building over the road... a job that takes me about 5-10mins depending on if i decide to have a fag on thw way but i GUARANTEE you he wont be back for at LEAST half an hour!

now, is it legal to murder your workmates?

the thing that pisses me off even more is that the guy gets paid MORE than me NEVER does ANYTHING (i mean im always on here, but if works needs doing, it gets done, but this bloke takes the piss blatantly) i do all his work for him. has NO technical knowledge (which hels in an IT dept! )

Jim, I had a couple people working under me a couple years back - I was the Internal Comms manager for an IT firm [before I opted to become a professional bum] and I NEVER knew that the bloke was a lazy twat, cos everything I asked him and the bird to do was done.

ANYWAY, he had 2 weeks holiday and I was expecting to have to do some of his sh!t whilst he was away, turns out the bird got on better without him there and actually had more time to spare???

To cut a long story short, there wasn't a great deal I could do to get rid of him as he always met his targets and personal objectives [it was a American wannabe company]

So when I left, I helped find my replacement and helped get the bird my job. She got a nice Ł8k payrise, car allowance and flexible benefits for her trouble. He got a new boss and lasted just over 2 months before he left

HAVING SAID THAT, if she'd whinged to me about him, I'd have got annoyed cos I was busy as feck, she did mention it whilst he was away, in confidence, in a very well angled way.... maybe you should try that to your boss? Don't whinge else you'll just get a black mark......

But these type of people always get found out sooner or later

Make sure if you get a shared workload that it is obviously split between the two of you, your boss should be saying'you do this lot and you do this lot' that way when the other dude does feck all it'll immediately show up. If your boss isnt assigning work to individuals then do exactly half the work and dont mention the rest to anyone, after a couple of days it'll soon be noticed and you'll both get called in and asked to explain yourselves. This is the point at which you get the KY out and fist the other dude royal

i fitted a pioneer avi stereo, speakers and electric ariel today, thats all i fooking done

took me 1 hour to do and i spent the ret of the time watching bad boys on the dvd in the car

fook me im starting to love my job

tommorow i sort oput the cyckle warehouse and thats aboput 2 hours work ill have it done by 3 though
