TBH dont think he comes on here, go through NLRSOC board...

I know he used a good roof off a 5 door and then brazed the skin on, was a big job but its a good one....he'll take you through it step by step!

Cool. I know that I will do away with the sunroof. If I am going to do this, I know I only want to do it once!! LOL.

It does scare the shit out of me, but at least I can do it in a workshop. If only I could afford to just give it to someone and say 'fix that'. LOL.

I remember that!! LOL.

With mine, its a good shell in every way, just the roof and rear arches need doing and the arches were my fault as I took a grinder to them to fit the 17" wheels that I used to have, but didnt repaint. I don't know for a fact that they are buggered, but it is quite likely.

Are you doing it just to lose the sunroof? Or is it starting to go rusty?

It's starting to bubble. Not too bad, but its definitely starting.

I just want to know that it is possible to do, incase I decide to fit a cage. I don't want to fit a cage to a shell thats terminally fucked.

Gus, I am interested in the Carbon roof too, though I am concerned about it a little also. I haven't put lots of thought into it, but I imagine that if it shattered for any reason, like if you went over, you'd end up with Carbon shards in your head?

Maybe they have a more substantial inner skin to start with?

Is Twins planning on bonding a Carbon panel over the original roof? Or cutting the roof away and bonding this new panel in its place?
