phil, thats exactly what the prob is, a little light bike is fighting like fuk and needs a lot more power to push throught the air at 130 than the momoentum of a heavy car doing 130,
example... if a car and a bike were side by side at 130 and both backed off the throttle the bike would stop a lot quicker of its own accord than the car as the car has a lot more momentum at those sort of speeds which is why a car does not need ridiculous power to beat bikes once over about 120 ish

My 916 will do standing qtr in what 11 seconds? and top out at what 150mph? 0-60 is sub 3 seconds
Youd need around 600bhp with traction to get 11 second qtrs and under 3's 0-60..but youd only need 280bhp to get 150...
So from 120 to 150 you may keep up in a stage 3...but upto 120mph youd be so far blown away youd claim you was only running on 3 cylinders..ROFL.

i didn't claim i was running on 3 pots at all phil, said it was only running 363bhp not 400bhp..............and we were rolling at 90-100 mph, and i was in fourth on boost with roller bearing turbo with no lag, etc etc.........I LASHED HIM!! PMSL

I used to have a proven 430 hp 2wd Saff that i abused in a big way and thought that was a weapon ! Then got a Ninga 600 (1st Bike) and thought fook me this things quick - not as quick as the Cossie but Soooo much fun
then I got an R1 that was proper quick but it got chored - so waited for insurance & got a K4 Gixer 1000. This thing is a weapon (154bhp @ back wheel) & i cant think of many motas that'll keep with it all the way to 186mph where its restricted to (until i get me power commander).
I've had loadsa ripps with cars, me brothers 415hp Escy which i did leave for dead then a friend of mine has an Ultima GTR V8 thing that does 0-100-0 in 10 secs or something. That was the quickest car i've seen, i pulled on him cleanly all the way up but my friends ZX9R which had been played with struggled to get past!
So cars can be quick, but there is no comparason to a bike, I've done 6500 miles on it & it's still like new - apart from rear tyres
but I still miss me Cossie - so i just bought another one
