Model : LG KU990 Viewty

1. insert original sim card and turn phone on.
2. Press telephone icon at bottom of screen to bring up the phone keypad
3. Enter 2945#*990#
4. A menu will pop up, select sim unlock
5. Enter your unlock code and press ok
6. The phone will then reboot and the unlock is complete.

For item 5. you need to buy the unlock code as I haven't found a program to do it yet, but im sure there will be one soon. look on google unlock codes are about a fiver

Oh bless ya.

I just paid a fiver, as one company said they could unlock, only to send me an email saying they cant! But not to worry as im in a fivers worth of credit with them next time i want a phone unlocked!!!

I think im gonna have to resort to going to a little shop and paying silly money to unlock it!

That phone looks cool as, how much did it cost?

Especially liking the Youtube feature where you can upload vids directly from the phone(operator dependant)

If you got it as an upgrade then surly your with T-mobile already, which means you should already have a T-mobile sim unless you joined T-mobile purly to get the new phone for Ł30?

Fair enough, hope you get it sorted

EDIT, maybe worth going to your local market and finding "Malcom" with the dodgy mobile phone stand, they might do it for ya

well if Malcom dont have it then what chance have you got

All you can do is look around the net and use your other sim for now, at least you'd be able to use it instead of it sitting pretty on the desk doing nowt

May seem silly but why not go to LG? or ask T mob? explain that you use 2 sims etc. operators get issued with the unlock codes from the manufacurers or they certainly used to

c.h.r.i.s - from the small amount of time ive played with it, its bloody brilliant!! the touch screen is fantastic and doesnt miss a trick!!

scottbrown - LG said they couldnt do it and t-mobile said they could for Ł15 but it would take a minimum of 28 days to get the code!!

Mental isnt it!!! oh well.... i have put my t-mobie sim in for now so that i can have a play with it, and i have to say, the phone is bloody brilliant!

The only shite thing is, when you have downloaded music onto it, if you want to delete the music, you have to use the LG software that the provide for you pc! so you have to go to your computer to delete it! other than that, its fan bloody tastic!
