I really like it in there, nice atmosphere, cool pics on the wall, friend staff, good food, great socialising normally, what else do you really need on a night out?

I've eaten at better pubs than that,it was dimmly lit, cramped and stuffy. Apart from the steak the rest of the food was shite and it was the most expensive bill out of the 5 days!

I thought Pinnocio's (spl) was much better.

i agree that pistenclause in nuerburg is shit, and pinnochio's in adenau is not much better. just there to rip off the tourists there are much better restaurants in germany using the hot stone though

my brother thought it was shit that you had to pay money to cook your own food - he said "can i pay a bit more and go and do the washing up?"

I found a few people talking about that place on google, so yes I think so. Have you been? It's not exactly local to me, but if it's a nice place we'll go over I recon.

I viewed that as "full of character, and intimate"

Mcdonalds has loads of space though, and is well lit, perhaps you should try there?

Ive only eaten the steaks there so dont know about the other food, but I agree the prices are a bit higher than elsewhere, but when you are fully booked every night more or less, I guess you dont need to be cheap?

because in other places in germany you get a similar size for a similar price but a much better quality. biggest is not always best is it?

i used to think it was good, but last time we were there the service was diabolical. they wanted us out to use the table again, even though we were ready to order loads more drinks and desserts. i won't be going back.

i was just looking at the home version on the black rock site, but it's just a stone slab on a raclette grill (that i have anyway and which has a teflon coating for frying)

similar one on amazon for Ł50 for 8 people which is not bad

http://www.amazon.co.uk/ANDREW-JAMES...8075109&sr=8-3

good for new years eve parties like they do on the continent

I can only go on my own experience, which is of it decent food for the money and being spot on for service.

But I didnt go there last trip, so maybe its changed since.

Nothing wrong with Pinnochios in my opinion!

The Ring is very touristy now, so you should expect to be ripped off. Therefore, the value for money you actually get isn't too bad all things considered.

to an english person, it probably couldn't be considered expensive, but to a german or italian (and even a swiss it seems, but he must be a tight cunt as switzerland is pretty expensive ) you would expect something better for that money. something that isn't just doughy muck. something with a bit of cheese on it.

Mine was lovely, plenty of cheese and not shy on the other ingredients.

The place must have changed hands between us lot going there and you going there by the sounds of it!

i much prefer the actual pizza in pizza hut, although not the price. i agree that pinnochios represents better value for money than that, but the point is that there is better in germany

anyway, we weren't talking about pizzas. it was meant to be about hot stones

i alread got a domino charcoal gas powered grill in the kitchen as i aint got a garden for a bbq

btw nandos has shite service but the half chicken and hot wings are the tits

i pay to EAT food, you can serve it up and call my missus a slag if the steak tastes the nuts

best place in london ive had steak is a pikey looking place in victoria called "bigguns"

they a rib shack and thats ment to be spot on ( though i dont eat pork) but the fillet steak is one of the best ive tried

infact im having a family meal in there on the 29th, germany got me and nikki adicted to steak

btw ive eaten steak in my kitchen using the hot stone type style on my george foreman grill
