i think event should be just that, no offence but its the stage3 cossies ect that keep tuners ect in business and who wants to read a mag when ya have the option to be there having a laugh
even though all the huge power boys do alot for tuners, do ya think us little people shpould be shoved oput for the well know guys
sorry but as i stated you tell em another stage2 turbo'd 1600 no trick rods and standard management erst do 149.9 at brunters
check the stats and see what some to the BIG pec cars do and ya will see what i mean
i personally wouldnt enter or pay to enter if its a ELITE team as that dont actually interest me
i already know the result right now
mad ords car is the fastest, ya dont have to visit brunters in a 600bhp eccos to uinderstand ya not gonna beat 200mph unless ya tuner is building it special and if he is he aint gonna wanna do it for a buch of internet geeks as the mags will want it first and make him rich
what mag wants to be the second to shoot the already proven 200mph cossie in a top speed event

this should be kept to cars with proven 500+hp, no proof not turning up it would be shit with 50 stage 3 saphs all taking time on the timing gear when it could be 10 propper quick cossie's running 190+mph.

Wow!!
Lots of response & most positive, unfortunately if all enter who want too ,would need about five quallifying days. My aim was to find the fastest car which would preclude most im afraid.
You wont pass 180 with less than 500brake & thats now just plain slow .
Not easy is it saying a particular car aint fast enough, but more than say 15 cars would be impossible, surely common sense tells us which cars are contenders, on a Topspeed event its Power & not Driver balls that really count, a novice pansy like me can get within 3mph of a cars Topspeed

heres a better example, do you think formula 1 is interesting when schey is on pole and hes 6 seconds in the lead after 10 laps
do you watch the higlights if shoey wins and ya already heard

people who buikld cars that are affrair of the lime light and defeat and dont wanna be told there car aint fast as its not load ect
face that fits type of affair
sopory but there is alot of eliteism in the tunning game
why not add skylines or even rokcet cars
sorry to say but we are the xroc or the car world now as there are better cars out there that are faster for less money to reach the same goals
if i have 45 grand for a fast car it wouldnt go on a saph ( not a dig rod as you know i love your car mate
)how about a club day for fun
lets the big boys play on there time, we need a kiddy day too

well am afraid work has to come before playing am not a rich man and dont have 3 grand for my gear box and another grand to thow as noz stuff to get the car ready and move to bigger units
work has had to come 1st and moveing costs a fortune even more so when you got to complety rebuild a unit to how you want it
on a good note seans got me viper stuff in the states so next yr i will give it a go

Nothing to stop you lads arranging such a day , but im not turning up in a 60k modded Cossie & doing a few Do-nuts just for fun mate.
Would cost me at least 2k to prepare my car if i went to win (I always do)
Precausionary new clutch, bleed brakes all new pads (200mph destroys your brakes) & full set-up & testing etc, Nitrous etc. setting records is not easy mate & fun wont achieve it. BUT EACH TO HIS OWN.
It was apparent what you ment from your post title Rod, I suppose its going to have to be next year now in any event, sounds like an ideal opportunity for those intending entering TOTB to lay down some times.So who's gonna Volenteer to start a new thread for sorting out a fun day/thrash to be open to all? Certainly sounds like fun!
