Its bad luck but tbh try proving it

I took the head off my engine which had just been A1 and foudn that had been properly dropped on the face prior to it being fitted.

Wether its some old boy on a forum or a tuner I have to say I have little faith in either nowadays

Can't you mod the pistons to suit the head?

I know that but when you buy something thats advertised at one measurment and then you get it and its nearly 2 mm less it does piss you off some what a bit like ordering a set of greys and getting a set of greens

I was talking to saph4be

...and if the sender was colour blind then that could be a genuine excuse for sending greens instead of greys.

Out of curiosity can we know the head thickness? I would have thought that the inlet valves would have been closer to the face than they look in the photo if it was 137mm.

from the looks of it martin, i don't think there is another skim in that head

i remember a post ages ago describing what was what and the cloers the valves are to the head the less material there is left to skim in the head

plus other problems, but i'm not an expert by a long way
